The third day of the German Tree Care Conference 2025 will focus on various tree diseases and pests as well as strategies for tree protection. In light of recent developments, Acute Oak Decline (AOD), a complex disease caused by bacteria, will be discussed. The extent of the disease remains uncertain, but if a serious epidemic develops, the consequences could be severe. At the conference on the 8th of May, Torsten Melzer will outline the symptoms to look out for in spring and how the city of Hamburg is dealing with the situation.
